Add a Case of Wrongful Conviction

PLEASE read this entire message carefully before responding. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

We are not limiting this to death penalty cases, although that is certainly a large part of our focus. Accordingly, we are looking for the names of individuals who have STRONG cases of actual innocence. Sam Reese Sheppard and CUADP are unable to join, adopt, raise money for, or otherwise advocate on behalf of any particular case.  Sam Reese Sheppard and CUADP take no responsibility for the veracity of any claims made in these listings.  We simply want to be able to hand to the media and put on our web page a list of names of cases with very concise descriptions. Enough to pique the interest of investigative reporters. Our line will be "You people in the media have a responsibility to the public to expose wrongful convictions. Here's a list of potential cases that we think merit your attention. Contact the people listed - maybe this is your Pulitzer prize."

PLEASE DO NOT send us tons of information. If we receive something that is too long to read in a minute, we will not be able to look at it, and neither will the media. And that's the point.

If you have a case you think we should list, please USE THE FOLLOWING FORM to send the relevant information to us.

If you already have a case listed and need to remove it or make a change, click the "Change" box below and fill in ONLY the fields that have changes, as well as the Submitter's Name and Submitter's Email Address. Leave all other fields blank.

NOTE: Submitter's Email Address *MUST* match original posting in order for us to process a correction to an existing listing!

Anthony Apanovitch was convicted in Cleveland, Ohio for the murder of Mary Ann Flynn on X date, 198X. It took seven years to force the Cleveland police to hand over evidence which they had concealed. This evidence raises serious doubt that Apanovitch committed this murder, yet the courts have refused to schedule a hearing to examine this new evidence. It's been 14 years. Apanovitch remains on death row in Mansfield, Ohio.
