CUADP director Abe Bonowitz (click
here for bio) is available to come to your
area to speak in classes, community meetings,
religious gatherings, with the media, etc.
In addition to providing his unique
perspectives to people new to the issue, he wants
to meet with, work with, train with, and take
action with local abolitionists and potential
abolitionists. CUADP is wherever activism against
the death penalty is. CUADP brings a unique
message which can enhance individual and local
efforts against the death penalty, and tie them in
to the national and international movements for
abolition.
In formal presentations, Bonowitz's approach to
the issue is as a former supporter of the death
penalty. He can deal with faith perspectives AND
pragmatics, and is particularly adept at
discussing the issue with supporters of the death
penalty.... Here is a comment from a student at
Furman University in Greenville, SC:
"Abe, I may not share your views of the
death penalty, but I wanted to tell you that I
thought you did an awesome job at presenting your
point. Unlike X, you presented your information in
a way to challenge us to think about it, instead
of commanding us to change. [...] I just wanted to
let you know I admired you and your speech. Thank
you again for visiting."
