Bill Pelke and George White, co-founders of the Journey of
Hope ...From Violence to Healing, Inc.
(http://www.journeyofhope.org), an organization of murder victims'
family members who oppose the death penalty, will join Ohio native
Abe Bonowitz, director of Citizens United for Alternatives to the
Death Penalty (CUADP) for a series of press conferences throughout
Ohio on Tuesday, May 15, 2001. They will be traveling on the Journey
bus, known as "Abolition Movin'," a 1965 GMC Coach dedicated to the
abolition of the death penalty. Bonowitz, Pelke and White will join
local anti-death penalty activists to speak out against what could be
Ohio's first non-consensual execution in almost 40 years.
