"Thank You" from Death Row
Hey Abe,

Below is a letter from my brother. It is dated Dec.23, so as you can see, I spaced out and forgot to type this up for him to send to you. Forgive me. Anyhow...I sent him some stuff about you all getting arrested recently and this is what he has to say about it:

Dear Abe,

I just wanted to drop you a line or two of THANKS.

Thanks for your tireless efforts towards ending the death penalty. But more specifically, thanks in response to you going to jail for me. For all of us. I am referring to the December 1, 2005 arrest in Raleigh, as you and others protested the 1000th execution.

I also extend my heartfelt thanks and hand in friendship and solidarity to the other 16 with the "stones" who were arrested with you:

David A. Sarah J.
Ethan B. Scott L.
Suzanne B. Sheila M.
Beth B. Jack P.
Renny C. Kate R.
Shujaa G. Dan S.
Jonathan W. Sheila S.
Leah W. David Z.

Please forward this to them also if you can.

Straight from Texas Death Row at Polunsky Unit in Livingston, Texas.

Sincerely,

Martin Draughon
